Understanding How Trauma Impacts Latinx Families

Join the The Brown University Health Community Health Institute and Temas Familiares on Tuesday, May 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a free, virtual workshop on understanding how trauma impacts Latinx families. The workshop will start with a virtual resource fair featuring family-friendly summer activities. Following the resource fair, Gisela Jimenez-Colon, PhD, psychologist at Mi Gente, will give her presentation to the community, virtually.

This workshop will help participants:

• Understand and define "what is trauma?"
• Understand how trauma reactions can impact the way caregivers provide discipline and parenting
• Learn some ways to take care of their mental health and reduce the impact of trauma
